Hillary Clinton's taste in music has evolved completely over the past few years, according to a Tuesday interview.
Asked by The View's Paula Faris about the top three songs on Clinton's playlist, she said that she loves Katy Perry, Demi Lovato, and Adele.
"Look, I love Katy Perry–nearly everything," said Clinton. "I love Demi Lovato–nearly everything. I think she’s an amazing talent. And I love Adele absolutely."
Clinton has a pretty hip and terrible millennial taste in music, it seems.
It also seems like she has strayed far from what she was listening to in 2011, when she listened to actual bands that play good music.
She explained her taste in music by stating that she is "a child of the '60s" and said she listened to "everything [she] grew up with."
"The Beatles and the Rolling Stones, the Who and the Doors," said Clinton. "I mean, all of that, plus I like classical music because I find it relaxing when I'm thinking about stressful things."
The change could be influenced by the thousands of dollars her campaign has given to consultants to craft a campaign playlist that the Democratic voter base would be receptive to. It could also be that Clinton felt obligated to say that she loves Perry and Lovato because they both have performed concerts for her campaign.
