Hillary Clinton: Hold Me Accountable

April 20, 2016

Hillary Clinton asked a crowd at a rally in Philadelphia to hold her accountable on Wednesday.

"We've got to get back to rolling up our sleeves and working together. That's what I will do as president. And I will ask you to hold me accountable," Clinton said.

"You go to my website, HillaryClinton.com, I've laid out all these plans. You know, some of the observers and the analysts, you know they've said for a long time, ‘Why is she laying out all these plans, why doesn't she just give speeches?’ Well, because, I respect you too much.

"I want you to know what it is I want to do. I want your ideas about how we solve these problems, and then I want you to hold me accountable."

This comes as Clinton is often viewed as being untrustworthy, even among many Democrats.

This stems from the continuing investigation by the FBI and Department of Justice into the use of her private email server while she was Secretary of State, and the transmission of classified material on that server. Also, questions have been raised as to whether donations to her private foundation, the Clinton Foundation, affected official business at the Department of State, while she was in charge there.
