Bloomberg’s Mark Halperin said the Democratic Party is facing a much deeper crisis than he originally thought on election night.
"They are in a bit of a crisis," Halperin said.
Halperin listed off a series of negative events that haven taken place since the disastrous midterms, including President Obama’s dissmissive press conference, the autopsy video released by DNC Chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz, and a damning piece written by Washington Post columnist Dan Ball.
The Democratic Party does not seem to have anyone to turn to, and the Republican Party is in a much better position.
"If the democrats are looking to Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi and Debbie Wasserman Schulz to bring them back, they are going to be in trouble" Halperin said, "because the republicans have younger and more energetic leaders right now."
"It’s a big problem for the Democratic party."
