House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D., Calif.) had a rough outing on The Daily Show Thursday night.
Host Jon Stewart inundated her with questions about the failed Obamacare website and how that reflects on the overall competency of the federal government. For the most part, Pelosi obfuscated by assuring Stewart that she shares the public's outrage and the issues with the Obamacare website are being fixed
At the most hilarious juncture of the interview, Stewart asked Pelosi why it is so hard to get a federal contractor to execute the production of a website. Pelosi replied simply "I don't know," to which an incredulous Stewart shot back "Well let me get the House minority leader here, I can ask her. Hold on. Wait, what do you mean you don't know? How do you not know?"
The House Democrat leader responded "it's not my responsibility."
