The Muslim-born mayor of Rotterdam sent a message to his fellow believers following the massacre in Paris of French journalists at the satirical Charlie Hebdo magazine: Those who do not appreciate the "freedoms" of living in the West should "pack your bags and f*** off."
Rotterdam Mayor Ahmed Aboutaleb, who was born on Morroco, made the comments on live television just hours after extremist radicals gunned down the Hebdo reporters, according to the Daily Mail.
"It is incomprehensible that you can turn against freedom," Aboutaleb was quoted as saying on a Dutch news program, according to the Mail. "But if you don't like freedom, for heaven's sake pack your bags and leave."
He followed that up by saying: "If you do not like it here because some humorists you don't like are making a newspaper, may I then say you can f*** off."
