White House press secretary Josh Earnest would not say Wednesday whether the border is secure, repeatedly dodging the question to say that "There are more resources that are dedicated to the border right now and securing it than there ever have been."
Ed Henry of Fox News asked Earnest multiple times to comment on the security of the border, pointing out that Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid told reporters Tuesday that the "border is secure." "Do you agree with him?" Henry asked.
After each question, Earnest either touted the "significant resources" the administration has sent to the border, or blamed Republicans for "blocking a piece of legislation that's already passed the Senate that would actually invest in securing the border."
