MD Loses 10,000 Jobs As Gov Raises Money for Obama

State leads nation in job losses, O'Malley commits to raise $500,000 for POTUS

Maryland has lost more than 10,000 jobs in 2012 and leads the nation in job losses, according to the Washington Times:

A report by non-partisan grassroots organization Change Maryland compiled with preliminary numbers from the Bureau of Labor Statistics shows that Maryland has lost a little over 10,000 jobs in 2012 and is one of 12 states in the nation to suffer job loss this year ... According to BLS numbers, a June drop of 11,000 jobs pulled the numbers down.

Democratic Maryland governor Martin O’Malley, meanwhile, has been busy fundraising for President Obama’s reelection campaign.

O’Malley has committed to bundling $500,000 for the president, according to the Obama campaign.
