The Technion Israel Institute of Technology in Haifa unveiled its latest video mixing Jewish tradition with state-of-the-art technology, this time demonstrating a complex method to perform the Rosh Hashanah ritual of dipping apples in honey, Haaretz reports:
The video, released Wednesday, shows them using a high-tech crossbow to shoot an apple slice at a balloon filled with honey as it is carried in the air by two other helium balloons. The president of the Technion, Professor Peretz Lavie, standing at the other end of the a lawn, skillfully catches the apple slice now "dipped" in honey.
Rosh Hashanah begins Sept. 4.
