CNN host Piers Morgan appeared to believe an obviously fake article Thursday mocking Sarah Palin, tweeting out a story from humor site The Daily Currant that Palin claimed Jesus Christ celebrated Easter while he was on Earth.
And she's back! > http://t.co/ufsdJ1aTPC .. @SarahPalinUSA

The Daily Currant, much like The Onion, posts satirical articles poking fun at real-world figures. Other headlines on its front page Thursday morning include "Nancy Grace Arrested for Murder" and "Obamacare Website Accidentally Enrolls Thousands in Sex Offender Registry."
Morgan tweeted soon after that he knew the Palin article was satire, but it was after followers quickly pointed out it was made up:
I do, yes...relax > RT > RT @JMoulder @piersmorgan You do realize this is a satire website, right?

Yet, Morgan would hardly have been the first public figure to fall victim to The Daily Currant. Outlets ranging from the Washington Post to Breitbart have been fooled by its generally outrageous headlines, such as "Ann Coulter Walks Out of Star Trek, Claims 'Too Many Minorities,'""Sarah Palin to Join Al Jazeera as Host" and "Paul Krugman Declares Personal Bankruptcy."
