President Obama, at a joint press conference with Brazilian president Dilma Rousseff on Tuesday, mentioned he could not publicly wear the green-and-yellow Brazilian sweatshirt she'd given him "because I have to root for the USA," although he did joke he might wear it in private because it was comfortable.
Brazil is hosting the 2016 Summer Olympics.
Saying "I have to root for the USA" seemed like a strange choice of words for the President of the United States, but he said earlier that he and other Americans would "proudly" support Team USA in the competition.
