MSNBC "Morning Joe" co-hosts Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski got engaged this past weekend.
Scarborough got on one knee and proposed at the Bar Bellini at the Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc in Antibes, France, Page Six first reported Thursday, citing sources close to the television hosts.
The two were on a trip to the south of France and Monaco to celebrate Brzezinski's 50th birthday
One source said there are no wedding plans yet and they are only telling their families of the engagement.
"Joe got down on one knee and proposed old-fashioned-style with a ring. Of course, Mika accepted. They came back from the trip on Cloud Nine," the source said. "There are no wedding plans as of yet, they are just telling their families the happy news."
Brzezinski, who recently turned 50, said she wanted to move forward with her life and spend it with Scarborough.
It was first reported that the two "Morning Joe" co-hosts were in a relationship back in June when Brzezinski divorced her husband of 23 years, James Hoffer. They have two daughters.
Scarborough was previously married to Susan Waren, a former aide to former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush, for 12 years before getting divorced in 2013. It was his second divorce, and he has four children.
The MSNBC hosts confirmed their engagement to Vanity Fair, which published a detailed account of Scarborough's proposal on Thursday.
Last week, rumors swirled that the couple was fighting due to an on-air spat. Scarborough called Brzezinski "snotty" and "rude" for interrupting but later apologized on Twitter for his comments.
