Tucker Carlson's new show on Fox News will be called Tucker Carlson Tonight and premiere on Monday, Nov. 14, the network announced Thursday.

It had previously been reported that Carlson would be taking over the time slot that used to be held by Greta Van Susteren, who left her nightly show abruptly in September. Brit Hume has been filling in since her departure.

Carlson's new show will air at 7 p.m. Eastern time and will feature political commentary on a variety of issues, including campus political correctness and mainstream media bias.

Fox News released a preview of what the new show will entail.

Spirited Debate. Powerful Reporting. And it all happens LIVE. Tucker hears YOUR voice and is tackling the issues YOU care about. Following this historic presidential election, Tucker is taking you to every corner of America, while utilizing the nationwide and global resources of the Fox News Channel. Tucker takes no prisoners as he calls out the status quo. You can count on Tucker's signature style as he tackles political correctness in Campus Craziness. And ridiculous overblown outrage gets put in its place when Tucker's TwitterStorm comes along.

Carlson is a cofounder of the Daily Caller and has hosted shows on CNN and MSNBC.
