Fox News co-president Bill Shine resigned Monday, according to an email to network employees by chairman Rupert Murdoch.
Shine is the latest senior figure at Fox News to leave after multiple resignations from the cable news network. Fox News has faced turmoil after sexual harassment allegations against top employees surfaced in recent months.
Former Fox News CEO Roger Ailes parted ways with the company after multiple former employees accused him of sexual harassment and misconduct. Former top-rated personality Bill O'Reilly, who hosted "The O'Reilly Factor" for two decades, was forced from the network last month amid a flurry of sexual harassment allegations, ending his reign as the top draw in cable news.
Shine has been with Fox News since 1996 and served as co-president of the company after Ailes left.
Fox News host Sean Hannity appeared to come out and defend Shine before the news of his resignation.
Somebody HIGH UP AND INSIDE FNC is trying to get an innocent person fired. And Gabe I KNOW WHO it is. Best Sean https://t.co/W3BJ2wjzRD

Pressure grew for Shine to resign when his name came up in a racial discrimination suit led by Fox News anchor Kelly Wright.
