1,000 Italian Rockers Gather to Play the Foo Fighters' Learn to Fly, Earn Concert

July 31, 2015

More than 1,000 Italian Foo Fighters fans gathered this month to make the ultimate tribute video in hopes that the band would play a concert for them.

The fans played a perfectly coordinated rendition of "Learn to Fly." A video of the event, which was posted on YouTube Thursday, has been viewed nearly 5.5 million times.

One of those views was apparently from the Foo Fighters lead singer himself, Dave Grohl. The singer took to Twitter to announce the Foos would be rewarding the hard work of the dedicated Italians by scheduling a concert in Cesena, Italy.

"See you soon, Cesena," Grohl tweeted in Italian in response to the video on Friday.

Grohl then posted a video of himself thanking the fans in Italian.
