Liberal filmmaker Michael Moore said in a recent interview with Rolling Stone magazine that President Donald Trump has a 55 percent chance of winning reelection in 2020.

When asked about Trump's odds of being re-elected, Moore predicted he has a 55 percent chance of winning, but would again lose the popular vote, Rolling Stone reported.

"Fifty-five percent," Moore said. "We will get more popular votes in the next election, but will he win the same states? As of now, yes."

Prior to the 2016 election, Moore was one of the few liberals who warned Democrats Trump would win the election.

In the interview, he says he tried to contact anyone associated with Hillary Clinton's campaign and tell them Clinton needed to visit Wisconsin and Michigan.

"I never wanted to be more wrong than with that prediction," he said. " I was trying to tell anybody who was connected to the Clinton campaign that she needed to get out to Michigan and Wisconsin."

Moore went on to criticize the New York Times and questioned why anyone would believe anything from the Times after the 2016 election.

"The day before the election, The New York Times said he had a 15 percent chance of winning," Moore said. "Why would you believe anything The New York Times says after that? That is a paper that, like much of the media, has been out of touch."

Moore also believes the media is contributing to Trump's reelection.

"They're still distracted about all the wrong things about Trump, and they are in many ways contributing to his being in office until January 2025," Moore said.

Moore recently signed onto liberal billionaire and mega Democratic donor Tom Steyer's petition to impeach the president. He claims Trump is unfit to be president and calls him a "threat to humanity."

"He is also not well. He is a malignant narcissist and an active sociopath. Because he holds the codes to, on his own, launch nuclear weapons, he is a singular threat to humanity,‬" Moore said.
