A man stole an alligator from a West Virginia pet store by stuffing the animal down his shirt before making his getaway, WVNS-TV reports:
A lot of things get shoplifted in a lot of weird ways ... but stuffing a baby alligator into your shirt seems like a bad idea.
Check out the surveillance video, clearly showing a man grabbing a 3-month-old reptile from its cage and rolling it up in his shirt before walking out. Too bad he didn't stuff it in his shorts.
Employee Anthony Williams says he went to feed the alligator Tuesday morning and when he didn't see it he realized this thing wasn't hiding under any rocks.

Williams says even though it was a baby gator, he sure wouldn't put it under his shirt.
"I mean, I can imagine the boy probably got bit on the way out," Williams said. "It's just an awful strange thing to do."
Store owners say the gator was valued around $300.
