Udall Pre-Pledges His Support For Any Obama AG Nominee

Sen. Mark Udall (D., Colo.), who is running for re-election against Republican Cory Gardner, pledged his support for President Obama’s nomination for attorney general despite that Obama has not yet nominated anyone for the position.

Udall said he would "do everything in [his] power" to support Obama’s nomination for attorney general.

"I will do everything in my power to support an attorney general candidate who mirrors the incredible work and agenda Eric Holder has done," Udall said.

Udall said he is the "last person" the president wants to see walking up the White House lawn--but the senator has voted with Obama 99 percent of the time. Udall’s endorsement of the president’s nominee before that nominee has been named only furthers his blind commitment to the Obama administration's agenda.

Sen. Udall and Gardner are in a tight race with the most recent polls showing Gardner has a short lead on the incumbent.
