Donald Trump told Good Morning America host George Stephanopoulos he shouldn’t be allowed to ask him questions about Hillary Clinton Wednesday, referring to Stephanopoulos' career as a Bill Clinton flack and failure to disclose donations to the family's foundation.
Stephanopoulos asked Trump, who announced he was running for president Tuesday, what his thoughts were on various Republican candidates before inquiring about Clinton, the Democratic frontrunner.
"What Hillary's got with the emails is, to me, scandalous," Trump said. "Of course, you shouldn't be talking to me about that, in all fairness. You shouldn't be asking me those questions, but I don't mind."
The Washington Free Beacon reported last month that Stephanopoulos had failed to disclose he had made $75,000 in donations to the Clinton Foundation, despite taking part in on-air discussions about it. He served as a top communications aide during the Clinton administration before transitioning into mainstream journalism.
