Trump Booed for Calling Rubio a 'Clown'

September 25, 2015

During the Friday afternoon session of the Values Voter Summit, Donald Trump improvised his speech and called fellow Republican presidential candidate Marco Rubio a "clown," drawing loud boos from the audience.

Trump has been known to go off-script and deviate from his prepared remarks. His comment Friday was not out of character.

Trump was discussing his views on politicians and that when they come to Washington, D.C., they lose themselves. Trump promised that he would not let happen to him. Then he turned his sights to Rubio.

"I mean, you know, you have this clown Marco Rubio. I have been so nice to him," Trump said.

Attendees at the summit did not agree with Trump's comments and met him with boos.
