NBC’s Chuck Todd continued the press’ bashing of the Obama White House’s increasing lack of transparency Friday, saying the Bush administration gave more access to photojournalists.
"Look we’re at fault here because we put [White House released pictures] up," Todd said. "We basically give out these visual press releases and that’s what they are. And we don’t fight this enough."
When NBC’s Meet the Press anchor David Gregory complained that the Bush administration would only allow access to photojournalists and not those in print or broadcast, Todd fired back, "At least they invited a journalist!"
"One more small point to liberal viewers out there who are especially going to be the ones bashing us of late: you’ll be upset about this lack of access when somebody is in that Oval Office that you don’t agree with," Todd concluded.
