State Dept Spox Says ‘I Have Some Place to Be’ in Response to Repeated Quid Pro Quo Questions

State Department spokesman Mark Toner said briskly "I have some place to be" on Tuesday in response to more questions about the "quid pro quo" controversy involving his agency and the FBI.

Toner was asked multiple questions on Monday and Tuesday about an FBI report showing discussion of a quid pro quo between the FBI and the State Department over Hillary Clinton’s private email server. According to an FBI interview, State Department official Patrick Kennedy discussed doing a favor for the FBI in return for declassifying one of Clinton’s emails.

Toner appeared to grow impatient with the questions on Tuesday.

"I’ll take about two more questions, OK, guys, because I have some place to be," he said.

One reporter mentioned writing Toner earlier about her particular question.

"I appreciate that. I’m glad that you write to us," he said with a hint of sarcasm.
