Liberal activist actor Sean Penn just put his Malibu, Calif., home on the market and is looking to get $6.55 million for it, according to Forbes.
Penn purchased the Southern California home in 2009 for half what it is currently worth.
The mid-century modern beach home was perfect for Penn’s single life, especially since he had been spending so much time in Haiti helping that country recover from a devastating earthquake several years ago.
But times have changed for the actor and activist. It looks as if his relationship with Charlize Theron has finally prompted Penn to make a housing switch. It looks as though baby-proofing the pool wasn’t enough to make the property perfect for Theron and her young son.
So up for sale is the 1.4-acre estate overlooking the Pacific. Penn has listed the 3-bedroom, 2.5 bathroom, U-shaped home for $6.55 million.
Penn, who formed a close relationship with now-deceased Venezuelan dictator Hugo Chavez, decorated his house with portraits of known racist Che Guevara.
