Democratic Congressional candidate Sean Eldridge will fundraise Wednesday night at the home of a Goldman Sachs executive.
The fundraiser for Eldridge, the husband of New Republic editor Chris Hughes, will take place at the Manhattan penthouse of David Dechman. The fundraiser costs $1,000 to attend.
In his campaign announcement just days ago, Eldridge promised he would work to tamp down the role of money in politics "instead of looking out for Wall Street," Republican research group America Rising notes.
The couple relocated earlier from one New York congressional district to another with the intent purpose of Eldridge launching a campaign, as the New York Times reported.
Hughes, the one-time roommate of Mark Zuckerberg, made his fortune from Facebook.
