President Obama claimed in his opening statement that the economy has seen the creation of 5 million jobs over the last four years--including an extra 500,000 jobs that have not been created.
Since Obama took office in 2009, 4.5 million jobs have been created--only a net gain of 300,000 jobs.
The private jobs figure stood at 111 million in January 2009, the month Obama took office.
