MSNBC Knocks NH Debate Moderator Who Got Facts Wrong: ‘Come On Now!’

October 31, 2014

A debate moderator badly botched a gotcha attempt on Scott Brown Thursday night in the final New Hampshire Senate debate before Tuesday’s mid-term elections.

The moderator, WMUR’s James Pindell, asked for Brown’s opinion on issues in Sullivan County, located Northwest of Concord, New Hampshire.

"I think you were talking about the North Country," Pindell replied.

"I’m talking about any place past Concord," Brown clarified, but Pindell was not satisfied

"Sullivan County is west of Concord. It’s not north of Concord, Senator Brown," he insisted.

After realizing his facts on New Hampshire geography were wrong, Pindell apologized to Brown after the debate.

MSNBC’s Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski criticized Pindell Friday morning. "It wasn’t Scott Brown who had it wrong!" Scarborough said, "I mean, come on!"
