Hillary Clinton is so serious about getting big money out of politics she called for a constitutional amendment to ensure unaccountable money is out of the political system "once and for all."
MSNBC’s Jose Diaz-Balart said it is "ironic" that the politician aiming to raise $2.5 billion, a record sum, for her campaign wants to put limits on donations to campaigns.
"Yeah, you know its kind of ironic that the people talking about campaign finance reform are talking about maybe doing $2 billion worth of campaigning from now to November 2016," Diaz-Balart said.
"They are saying Clinton could do $2 billion! Is that real?" Diaz-Balart said, dumbfounded.
Even one of Clinton’s biggest fans called her comments on campaign finance reform completely surprising.
The irony does not end there, however. The Wall Street Journal reported Wednesday that the Clinton Foundation will continue accepting donations from foreign companies and governments, a practice that put Clinton in hot water for an apparent conflict of interest.
