Clara Jeffery, editor in chief of the left-leaning news organization Mother Jones, on Thursday compared Donald Trump's presidential win to how she felt when the Twin Towers fell in the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks.
Jeffrey went on a tweetstorm two days after Trump won the presidential election on Tuesday night. One of her tweets compared Hillary Clinton's campaign loss to the al Qaeda terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001, when 2,977 Americans lost their lives.
"Haven't felt this gutted since I watched the Twin Towers fall"

Many of the Twitter responses to Jeffrey's post agreed with the Mother Jones editor in chief.
