Hillary Clinton's campaign manager Robby Mook missed his opportunity to defend Clinton against Donald Trump's attack that the Clintons have made millions of dollars by selling access to foreign countries.
Mook said Trump's erratic behavior and words needed to speak for itself. CNN's Carol Costello told Mook that Trump was referring to donations to the Clinton Foundation that came from countries that have questionable values.
"What he was specifically referring to was the Clinton Global Initiative and donations that come in from countries like Saudi Arabia, which aren't exactly supportive of women's rights," Costello said.
Mook doubled down and praised the work the Clinton Foundation has done and returned focus back to attacking Trump.
"The Clinton Foundation has saved lives and has changed lives throughout our world and the Clintons could not be more proud of what that foundation has accomplished," Mook said. "What Donald Trump is trying to do is bully and intimidate. We're seeing his erratic temperament at play here. This is why he is such a danger to our country."
Tuesday evening Clinton became the presumptive nominee of the Democratic Party as well as the first woman to be the nominee of a major political party.
