Mark Udall Pays Women Less Than Men

Gardner employs more female staffers, pays them more

Democratic incumbent Sen. Mark Udall (Colo.) pays his female staffers only 86 cents on the dollar compared to men, leaving the Colorado Springs Gazette to question the validity of Udall’s "war on women" attacks on his Republican opponent Rep. Cory Gardner.

In an editorial published Thursday, the Gazette said Udall and Democrats are getting "loose with the facts":

We never thought Colorado's leading Democrats would appear so desperate.

Sen. Mark Udall's daily attacks on U.S. Rep. Cory Gardner are a boring broken record about some make-believe war on women. In truth, Udall has an issue to explain to Colorado women.

The Free Beacon first reported on Udall's gender pay discrepancy in April, noting that men on his staff receive an average of $9,783 more than women.

A Watchdog.org analysis of salaries additionally found that on Gardner's staff women make more money than men. There are also more full-time women staffers in his office than there are men.
