ABC late-night host Jimmy Kimmel tweeted on Thursday that House Speaker Paul Ryan (R., Wis.) does not have a soul, in reference to a story about Ryan mulling his political future.

Kimmel linked to the CNN piece, entitled "Paul Ryan ‘soul searching' on his future," and he wrote, "Search all you want, you won't ever find it."

Kimmel has won media accolades in 2017 for taking on a stridently progressive tone in his routines, advocating for Obamacare and gun control and blasting the Republican tax bill.

Kimmel brought out his infant son, who recently underwent heart surgery, on Monday for his monologue that lit into the GOP over CHIP, the children's health insurance program. The Washington Post debunked several of Kimmel's erroneous claims in the routine that claimed Republicans were threatening to gut CHIP in order to pass tax cuts.

Kimmel also linked to an Esquire piece on Thursday calling Ryan the "biggest fake in American Politics."
