The Republican Party of Kentucky has filed a complaint against Democratic senate candidate Alison Lundergan Grimes after revelations that she has been renting her luxurious campaign bus at a discount from her father's company, according to the Louisville Courier Journal.
"The Grimes Campaign accepted prohibited corporate contribution from Signature Special Event Services in the form [of] a large touring motor coach, and the use of that bus at below market rates," the complaint alleges.
The complaint asks the Federal Election Committee to investigate the allegations and "impose all appropriate and necessary sanctions" on the Grimes campaign.
The Grimes campaign has said that the issue has been reviewed by its lawyers and that all actions were within the law.
Grimes use of her father's company was first reported on Tuesday by Politico, and she has attempted to avoid the issue in recent days.
