Kimberly Guilfoyle and Fox News have commented on recent rumors that the Fox personality would be leaving the network to join the Trump administration.

In an emailed statement, a spokesperson for Fox News downplayed the rumors saying, "Kimberly is a valued member of the FOX News primetime lineup, and is under a long term contract with the network."

Guilfoyle's statement reiterated her happiness with her current situation.

"As I stated in the interview, I really love what I do and my job co-hosting The Five is tough to beat," she said through a spokesperson.

The rumors of the Fox News personality replacing Sean Spicer as White House Press Secretary picked up Tuesday when the Mercury News released an interview with Guilfoyle during which she said, "I'm a patriot, and it would be an honor to serve the country."

Trump has reportedly been weighing dismissing Spicer as part of a wider White House shake-up.
