Donald Trump Holds 'Thank You' Rally in Orlando, Fla.

December 19, 2016

President-elect Donald Trump spoke at his "Thank You" tour rally in Orlando, Florida on Friday night, thanking voters for their support.

Trump began the rally by wishing his supporters a merry Christmas and heaping praise on the "patriots" who voted for him. Gov. Rick Scott (R.) and Attorney General Pam Bondi were in attendance and received special recognition for their support from the president-elect.

The beginning of the rally was spent reliving election night and discussing Trump's path to 270 electoral votes. The "unfair" media coverage of the election was a prominent feature in the election night recap.

Trump then turned his attention to the safety of the country under his incoming administration.

"We have General [John] Kelly, you know General Kelly? He's going to be watching over our borders. He is amazing, incredible. As you know, we have General 'Mad Dog' Mattis, secretary of Defense," Trump said. "We're not playing games folks, we're not playing games. No more games, do we agree? No more games. We've been playing games for 20 years."

Trump touched on a number of the issues he campaigned on, including support for first responders, building a border wall, curbing immigration, and increasing defense spending.
