Gov. Deval Patrick (D, Mass.) addressed the common belief that Hillary Clinton the "inevitable" nominee for Democrats in 2016.
"The narrative that it's inevitable is off-putting to voters," Patrick said on Meet the Press.
Patrick said that inevitability is viewed as entitlement and the American people want to see their presidential candidates make a case for themselves.
"The American people want--and ought to want--their candidates to sweat for the job, to actually make a case for why they are the right person at the right time," Patrick said.
