After a millionaire Democratic donor's wife left him for cheating on her with "one or more sales girls in New York City shops," he got her kicked out of the family's country club, according to a lawsuit reported on by the New York Post.
Matthew Astrachan, a commercial real estate broker who has contributed thousands to Democratic candidates including Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton, John Kerry, and Joe Biden, is being hit with a $20 million lawsuit by his ex-wife that claims that he publicly shamed her by putting her in debt to their Long Island country club.

The New York Post reports:
It’s one thing to cheat on your wife with a shop clerk — but yanking her country-club membership is going too far!
Sheri Astrachan slapped her estranged real-estate-exec hubby, Matthew, with a $20 million defamation suit after he allegedly cut off her access to the tony Old Westbury Golf & Country Club and various credit cards.
The move triggered a golf-club rule that Sheri’s name—and even the amount of her debt—be listed in its public places, including in its men’s and women’s locker rooms, "proclaiming for all to see that she had not paid her bills to the club," says the spurned wife’s Manhattan Supreme Court suit. […]
Sheri, 42, says her 18-year marriage to Matthew, 49, a millionaire and JLL vice president, imploded after she and her daughters found out that he was two-timing her with "one or more sales girls in New York City shops," according to the suit.
The suit adds that the couple lived an extravagant lifestyle that included a $150,000 Maserati, and three housekeepers.
The Old Westbury Golf & Country Club features golf, tennis, and many other amenities.
