JON SCOTT: As you and I are speaking, Vice President Biden is speaking to the AIPAC convention you spoke to. He said, make no mistake, we will not allow Iran to get a nuclear weapon. How could he be so sure?
JOHN CORNYN: Well, talk is cheap and Secretary Hagel, recently confirmed as Secretary of Defense you recall during his confirmation hearing had a little problem saying what the policy of the U.S. government was. Finally, the third try said our policy was not to try to contain a nuclear weapon but to prevent them. I think all of this ambiguity creates perhaps, emboldens our adversaries perhaps and makes them think if they keep pushing the line they can get away with it, and that is very dangerous for us and our allies.
