Cassidy Slams Landrieu on Keystone Pipeline Failure

Congressman Bill Cassidy (R., La.) called out Sen. Mary Landrieu (D., La.) for failing to advance a Senate floor vote on the Keystone XL pipeline, despite promises that Keystone legislation was Landrieu's "first priority."

"Her first priority as becoming chair of this energy committee was to get a Senate floor vote on Keystone XL pipeline," Cassidy said. "She's not been able to do so."

Cassidy said the major inconsistency between Landrieu's promises and her actions indicates that she does not wield the kind of influence she claims to have.

"She said she had done everything in her power," Cassidy said. "But that just means she's not very powerful."
