California Veterans Affairs officials are billing taxpayers for the officials' travel, KOVR revealed in a damaging report Monday. This goes directly against Gov. Jerry Brown's (D.) ban on nonessential travel.
The officials' travel fees have accumulated to $82,000 over 18 months since Brown's ban.
The officials have no plan to refund taxpayers or eliminate state funded-trips, according to KOVR, despite being notified about the travel expenses.
