Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D., Calif.) who represents the city of San Francisco, was asked about the upcoming NFC championship game between the 49ers and Seahawks.
Pelosi responded to the question by saying, "So I'll just put my bracelet right out there. (Laughter.) Joe Montana's jersey, number 14 -- well, anyway. (Laughs.)"
Hall of Famer Joe Montana played 14 seasons for the 49ers, winning four Super Bowls, wearing the number 16 jersey the whole time. It would seem that Pelosi's staff didn’t have time to brief her on that.

Q: Two questions. First off, the unemployment insurance, you talked about it today -- how much do you think voters in November will be looking at that as an issue -- (off mic)? And second, any predictions on the score for the -- (off mic)?
REP. PELOSI: (Laughs.) So all of these questions are just subterfuge to get around to sports, right? So I'll just put my bracelet right out there. (Laughter.) Joe Montana's jersey, number 14 -- well, anyway. (Laughs.)
