Alan Grayson: I Could Never Support Any of the Republicans Running Except Maybe Rand Paul

This might not be the endorsement, or semi-endorsement, Sen. Rand Paul (R., Ky.) was craving.

Flamboyant, foul-mouthed, and far-left Rep. Alan Grayson (D., Fla.) told News 13 Orlando host Ybeth Bruzual that if he had to choose one of the GOP candidates, it would be Paul.

"It's a proverbial clown car. I look at the Republican field and I can’t see a single person in that field, with the possible exception of Rand Paul, who I actually want to be my president," Grayson said. "I look at this from the voters' perspective, and I say to myself, 'These are people who have no answer to this very important question: What have you done for the people?'"

Among Grayson's highlights in Congress are comparing the Tea Party to the Ku Klux Klan, suggesting the Republican health care plan was for sick people to "die quickly," and calling a reporter inquiring about his finances a "shitting robot." The Washington Post did a piece on Grayson in May headlined, "Meet the Democrat who national Democrats really don’t want to run for Senate."
