Abortions in Iowa have dropped 30 percent in the last five years, LifeNews.com reports, from 6,649 in 2007 to 4,648 in 2012.

A pro-life group says the number of annual abortions in the state could fall even further if the practice of webcam abortions is banned. Currently, Planned Parenthood doctors in Des Moines can dispense abortion pills to women in Iowan towns via webcam.

Planned Parenthood closed two Iowa-based clinics in 2012 and 2013. It also closed two webcam abortion centers last year.
