WXYZ-ABC affiliate news anchors discussed that Hillary Clinton’s Michigan $2,700 per person fundraiser is a lot of money Tuesday evening.
Clinton, who wants to be a champion of "everyday Americans," was in Grosse Pointe, Mich., for a fundraiser. Before attending, Clinton took time to stop by Sweet Potato Sensations, a local business in Detroit.
During the stop, Clinton mentioned a list of groups that have helped Detroit recover.
"I was talking to the blight busters man over there," Clinton said. "I’ve seen a lot of community efforts. The coordinated commitment from government and business and civic groups and individuals, homeowners, philanthropy to really make a big commitment to Detroit."
"The blight buster man is Don George," local co-anchor Stephen Clark said. "They got to meet her free. If you met her at a fundraiser tonight, you would pay $2,700."
"A lot of money," co-anchor Carolyn Clifford said.
