A Democratic member of the West Virginia House of Delegates has resigned his seat after pleading guilty to DUI, WTRF reports:
ANCHOR: West Virginia House of Delegates member Ryan Ferns is stepping down from office and will not seek reelection in November. Ferns was arrested and plead guilty for DUI just over a week ago in Ohio County. Ferns has now released this quote: "It is with great regret that I wish to inform the public that I have decided against seeking reelection and will resign immediately from my seat in the West Virginia House of the Delegates. It has been a great honor and privilege to serve the people of Ohio County and I apologize for any negative attention I have brought to this position. I am thankful for the opportunity to have served Ohio County and the state of West Virginia. Thank you and God bless."
