Sen. Mark Pryor (D., Ark.) will not attend former President Bill Clinton’s Obamacare speech in Arkansas, the Hill reports.
The Arkansas Democrat's decision not to attend reflects how problematic President Obama's health law is for Pryor, the Hill notes. Pryor, who is likely facing a tough reelection contest in 2014, voted for the Affordable Care Act's passage in 2010.
While Clinton is still popular in Arkansas, the Affordable Care Act is not.
Clinton hosted a $1 million fundraiser for Pryor earlier this year, but it appears Pryor is trying to distance himself from Clinton and the law.
