New Boehner Video: Why Is Obama Willing to Negotiate with Russia but Not Congress?

A new video from Speaker John Boehner released Thursday criticizes President Obama for being willing to negotiate with Russia but not the U.S. Congress on the national debt.

"Even President Obama worked with us two years ago in the debt limit negotiations to put controls on spending," Boehner said in a statement that accompanies the video:

Attaching deficit reduction measures to a debt limit increase is a common-sense policy that presidents of both parties have used for decades. "Even President Obama worked with us two years ago in the debt limit negotiations to put controls on spending," said Speaker Boehner. This year shouldn’t be different.
