New England got hit with a massive blizzard Tuesday that shut down the city of Boston. The city issued fines for people who didn’t shovel their sidewalks. No one was exempt from the fines--including Secretary of State John Kerry.
Kerry was halfway across them globe in Saudi Arabia attending the funeral of King Abdullah. When Kerry returned home to his Beacon Hill mansion, a $50 fine was waiting for him. There was a misunderstanding between the snow removal company that the homeowners' association hires and caution tape placed to warn people of falling snow and ice. The snow was promptly cleared.
An embarrassed Kerry had no comment for reporters about the incident.
