Experts: Clinton Bought 'High-End Security' but Forgot Last Step, Left Server Vulnerable

Experts are dismantling claims from some Democrats that Hillary Clinton’s private server could be more secure than government accounts.

Evidently, Clinton went to great lengths to secure her server but made a very simple, fatal flaw that left her vulnerable to attacks: she did not buy an encryption key.

"They never took that extra step. They used the default. Security experts say it is not as secure as it should have been," Michael Riley said.

Some Clinton allies cited WikiLeaks as a reason why Clinton could have felt more secure using her own server at home. Josh Earnest, himself, said that a smaller server would be less likely to be targeted; a claim that was quickly rebuked since Clinton was not exactly hiding her "@clintonemail.com" server.

The State Department government servers would be safer than a private one because not only does it contain the most sophisticated encryption technology, but its also protected from being physically broken into or damaged from fire or flood.
