Call it a lucky catch!
Huntington Beach, CA native, Joseph Ali, caught a whopping 18 pound, 26-inch long lobster Monday evening.
Ali had been free-diving by the beach pier in 53 degree water for an hour when he spotted the ginormous crustacean and grabbed him with one hand.
An intense struggle ensued between the two for about 3-4 minutes, before Ali was finally able to put the lobster in his bag.
Proudly holding his lobster, Ali told KTLA his plans for his new "friend"- a lobster feast, including asparagus, mashed potatoes, Greek salad, or as Ali specifically called it "a Beverly Hills dinner plate."
For those lacking Ali’s beast-mode hunting skills but in want of a lobster like his, Ali has bad news: they better be ready to fork over a pretty penny. Ali says that a lobster as huge as his retails for $600 or more.
