Blumenthal on Gun Legislation: Obama 'Could Have Done More'

'He may be rethinking and looking back in hindsight'

THOMAS ROBERTS: Does the president deserve the criticism that he is getting that he didn't do enough to see this measure go through? That he didn't use enough political muscle to get the votes needed?

RICHARD BLUMENTHAL: The president perhaps could have done more. He may be rethinking and looking back in hindsight. I am about my own efforts. All of us are rethinking how to bring this bill back because I have no question that the president is fully engaged and committed to the core of his fiber and having watched him with those families to make sure we have common sense measures to stop gun violence.
