A Democratic Pennsylvania state representative and his betrothed, a Pittsburgh Public Schools administrator, were arrested Friday after a domestic dispute over child care expenses.
The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports:
State. Rep. Jake Wheatley, D-Hill District, and his fiancee, Angela Mike, who is the executive director of career and technical education, were arrested Friday morning and charged with simple assault following a fight over child care expenses for their infant.
Both were released on nonmonetary bail Friday afternoon and are scheduled for preliminary hearings on Thursday.
"This is a tragedy on a lot of levels," Mr. Wheatley said as he left the Municipal Courts Building Friday.
